YUP!! that is my screen time on 16th may, 2022 and FYI, I was not using my phone for any type of work as I am on my unwanted long procrastination break where I am trying to figuring out what to do next but ended up in loop of laziness to regrets to pleasure seeking human being from a small device which apparently invented to reduce the work time for human beings...which certainly not doing its work properly

OR
I should say, we are not learning to use it as a tool rather than being a tool for this device and its virtual world...

OKOK, lets come to the point, as you can see my screen time was getting bad day by day and I got used to it soooo early as this is my reality from past 2 months...

UNTIL, I came to know about the term called "Dopamine Detox"...

BUT First have a look to this...

                                               

This is my DAY 1 in following the cycle of Dopamine Detox...
Don't get surprised to see this because it just the first day and honestly I can't say if it is going to continue like this or not, although I am commited to it...

But, what do you mean by dopamine detox...
In simple words, dopamine which is a neurotransmitter in our brain and also work as a hormone whenever we feel good doing something joyful like eating junk food, watching web series, playing cricket, having sex etc etc etc...

It depends on person to person on what action, this hormone get release in their body and the more it releases the more we tend to repeat the action...
That is one of the reason behind any type of addiction...and that is one of the reason I was so addcited to scrolling feeds on instagram and watching youtube the whole time....as it release the same hormone again again...

Dopamine detox is nothing but cutting off the things which give you pleasure like no mobile phones, no junk food, no drinking etc etc for fixed period of time...

I came across one video which helped me to understand the importance of dopamine detox...even though most of the things were obvious and people know about it like meditation, exercise etc but that youtuber was showing the results of all that discipline detox period and so I thought I should now do this as my brain is so filled up with useless content which I really need to throw out of my head...

Yesterday, was my first day where I decided to reduce my screen time as low as possible and continuing that for atleast 30 days...
I thought to make my screen time from 10 hr to 5 hr which is quite enough of usage BUT 
then I realise its a big jump of 5 hrs which means I am forcing it to 5 hrs for now but in a long term I actually don't have a habit of using it at this level...
So, I decided to make it from 10hr to 8hr which is possible and also it will not make such a big difference for my brain which can resist it if I made a sudden big change...

BUT, surprisingly, when I saw the screen time at the end of the day, it was (as you saw above), around 5 hr and 30 mins....at that moment I realise my brain is actually capable of using the device at 5hr screen time and so...I thought I should probably open my years of years old blog and note it as a reminder to keep going and to share with you all...

I will keep updating about this cycle of my dopamine detox and hopefully will complete 30 days cycle to get back on track....
