It was going to be my first book on my covid journey BUT,...

It didn't happen...


Let's go at the the beginning of the story, few months ago, I saw one Ad on instagram for the writers who want to publish book on topic called Covid Journey...

We just have to write our experience in covid times in terms of poetry, story, etc and honestly I was ready to do that because in Rs.2000, they were editing, designing, preparing ebook and paperbook of our writing and were to publish it on Amazon, Flipkart,etc...

But, I was confused between giving Rs.2000 to them for writing or in course which I wanted to do which also needed Rs.2000 and I didn't want to ask for money to my parents again and again for both things...

So, I was thinking that what should I do..?

FINALLY..,

I came to conclusion that I can go for publishing my book as that company is doing everything, I just have to write on topic...

I thought after few months I would get my Rs.2000 from book published on amazon and it would be like good passive income...

AND Here comes the reason behind BUT,

Since, I wanted to be sure of investing my 2000 with publisher who gonna do everything from editing to marketing...

I saw their instagram page where their previous customer reviews and published book was there so, I started approaching them to know about their published work...

After finding many , I got one reply from a writer who had published his book with same publisher AND,

that's were he spoken everything about publisher that their approach is nice but work is worst quality as they just publish your book but don't do any marketing well as they promised in their bio even taking full fees he told me to go for publishing your book by yourself will be a better option...


THANKFULLY, I saved my Rs.2000 and cancelled this plan...

This experience was not very unusual as it was kinda expected...BUT

What I learned is...

-- It is easy to learn digital marketing and do marketing using instagram ads, google ads, etc but quality of any business service should never be compromised...

-- Nowadays, most of reviews or testimonials are fake and are basically pressurized comment from companies on their customers, so make sure to have a convo with people giving genuine reviews...

-- Learn from other mistakes and teach people about your mistakes which should not be repeat by anyone...


SO, WHAT NOW...

I am gonna publish my covid journey, what I learn and how I ended up in writing content for companies, but without any publisher...

Gonna design, edit and will publish it by my own...It is a better option atleast for now...
